The Retold Series is a collection of well loved classic tales reimagined as comedy masterpieces.

In the 1990s, comedy legend Spike Milligan wrote a series of "According to..." novels which took such works as Frankenstein, Black Beauty, Treasure Island and even The Bible and while keeping with the style, layout and story of the original text, he incorporated the very British, very Spike, humour that only the Great Milligan could concoct. Some of his best examples are the inclusion of Groucho Marx in Treasure Island and The Ten Commandments According To the Trade Unions as part of The Bible. These books were published by Michael Joseph Ltd, and later by Virgin Books and are still available though all good bookshops and eBay.

Now, picking up where the master left off, this student is attempting to continue the series with a new collection of six well known stories retold as never before. Currently, the first four titles expected in the series are:

                   Dracula

                   King Kong

                  The Wizard of Oz
